Kooikerhondje Breeder List

If you are looking for a Kooikerhondje puppy, then you are probably aware that they are difficult to find in North America.  This list is by no means definitive but it is an effort to link you to the breeders that we know.  There are many more breeders in Europe, some reputable and some are not.

If you decide to take a puppy from any breeder, research that breeder beforehand and visit the kennel if you can.  A good breeder will know about the Official Kooikerhondje Registry from the Netherlands.  This database is invaluable into giving the breeder an insight into all officially produced litters since the 1940s including health information. A good breeder should also be willing to give you health information about their own dogs. Please refer to our health section where we discuss several diseases the Kooikerhondje can be affected with.

Of course you can also contact us, as we are willing to help as best we can.

It is our goal to keep this list updated as new breeders are discovered.

Breeding Dogs for the Next Millenium

Above is an interesting article on how to protect and recover rare breeds like the Kooikerhondje. It is important, as with any breeding program, to make sure that dogs used in breeding are the healthiest among those available when rare breeds are involved.

Gear | Food | Items We Use & Like

DISCLAIMER: The following list of gear are items we have researched and purchased on our own. We have not received nor sought endorsements, clothing, financial incentives, or other forms of compensation. We just like these items and thought you would too.[/callout]

West Coast Canine
West Coast Canine Life is a do it yourself dog food. With simple ingredients and West Coast Canine’s powder, you can make amazing food for your dog.

Search Dog Vests
Our dogs search through some very tough terrain that can tear their vests. The ones we have used from Leerburg are strong, light and work best with our Kooikers.

Lighted Collars
Glowdoggie are the most durable lighting collar we have used. Waterproof and with a bright light that carries far, these collars are great for hunting, searching or when you want to be outdoors at night.

Dog Gear
We have had a wonderful experience with the gear we have purchased from Hurtta. The quality of their gear has held up under some pretty tough conditions when it comes to our dogs. We particularly love their harnesses and cooling jackets.
